Paige Hudson

Paige Hudson is a visual artist, thriving on exploring many different mediums of art including: oil, gouache, watercolor, clay, and botanical. Paige prefers realism to capture emotions and focal points of each piece. Her personal works are set in abstraction and surrealism, with the message and flow of the pieces being more important than the accuracy. Paige views art as a staple of independence and self-expression, challenging her and helping her grow through a therapeutic artistic process.

Paige has worked as an art assistant in the art department at Brazosport College, gaining experience in an art gallery, assisting in pottery, drawing, and painting classes. Paige is a current Teaching Artist with Young Audiences of Houston, new to the roster in 2022, and engages her students in dynamic art workshops while also showing them that art can be more than what meets the eye. The art of creation can serve as a vessel for release and help restore oneself. Paige firmly believes anyone is capable of creating art and aims to teach children to believe in themselves through this method of creativity. Students deal with more stressful situations than they realize and art can be an outlet to help overcome the adversities and problems they face throughout their life. Paige's goal as a visual teaching artist is to help children find themselves in art as they grow and change, just as she has.
