Cristy Jamison
Cristy Jamison is a passionate dancer, choreographer, and teacher. She is a native of Dallas TX and has been dancing all her life. She is a graduate of Texas Woman’s University with a BA in Dance Studies and a Master of Arts in Teaching. Cristy's style varies and is driven by music, emotions, and personal experiences. Cristy has been a High school Dance Instructor & Drill Team Director for 8 years. As an educator her desire is to introduce others to the many genres of dance as an art form and prove that everyone is an artist. Cristy feels it is important to incorporate individuality and personal experience in the learning process, allowing students the ability to become more comfortable with themselves and their surroundings. This fosters self-growth, understanding and creative expression. As an artist she desires to express her love of dance in hopes that others experience something moving in the process
Cristy teaches workshops and residencies with Young Audiences of Houston that include: Jazz Fusion, Modern Marvels and Moving the Body, Surround Sound, African Dance Fusion, Stomp, Hip Hop, and World of Dance.
