Pamela "Pia" Gooby is a visual teaching artist with Young Audiences of Houston.

Pia is an artist who holds bachelor's degrees in both philosophy ( from Baylor University in Waco, TX) and fine arts in studio arts (from The University of Texas at Austin and Texas A & M. Pamela also holds a CELTA teaching certificate from Cambridge University in the UK. A CELTA certification is the international gold standard for teaching qualifications. Pamela lived in Viet Nam for more than two years teaching English to young people in Can Tho in Mekong Delta. Pamela continues to work in painting, oils and water colors, found object work, sculpture, writing music, writing poetry (and wondering about the world in general). Pamela's grand goal is to rid the Mekong Delta of south Viet Nam of rubbish, using the last three years of life living in Mekong Delta and teaching art and non L1 English to non-native English speakers.
