Danny Jones

Oberlin, Ohio native and Washington and Jefferson College graduate Danny Jones is a historian, teacher, coach, and visual artist who utilizes a dynamic and innovative approach to life mask making; students learn how to construct a mask on the face of a fellow classmate, friend, or participant, allowing them to capture a realistic impression of one’s facial structure at a particular time of life; hence the phrase “life mask.” Danny has 14 years of mask making experience and has been deemed a mask-making master for over 12 years. Hands-on, proven methods enable students to enjoy preparation, teamwork, and the bridging of gaps. Lengthier programs can also expand on TEKS objectives and core curricula: history, science, math, English, and geography. Students build self-esteem, confidence, self-awareness, and motivation by discovering their identity and what makes them tick.
